For a project in Ham, Belgium 1335 fiberglass dowels and 150 fiberglass tie-bars were delivered. For the dumping of this floor the most sustainable and CO2 friendly solution was chosen. The commonly used size 25/600 has been applied here.
The placement of the dowel baskets went a lot faster than expected. Because they can be lifted by a single employee using fiberglass dowels without kinking, as is sometimes the case with baskets with steel dowels.
In addition to the use of fiberglass dowels, fiberglass rebars have also been chosen here. These are drilled into the glue-shaped construction on the side of the concrete floor.
