Fiber Dowels

1. Apply transversal joints

Subject: Installation of dented transverse joint;
dowels: length 0.50 m, diameter 25 mm, tensile strength: 1000 N/mm2

1.1

Put dowels on baskets Baskets in the lane.
Couches on plastic dowel baskets in accordance with the supplier’s instructions (cutlery is included in the delivery)
Distribution of the dowels over the joint: 4 pieces per metre.

1.2

Drill in half the length and glue it into the existing carriageway.
Gluing with two-component adhesive in accordance with the supplier’s instructions (cutlery is included in the delivery)
Distribution of the dowels over the joint: 4 pcs. per metre.

1.3

Drill in half the length and glue it into the existing carriageway for expansion joints.
Gluing with two-component adhesive in accordance with the supplier’s instructions (cutlery item is included in the scope of delivery)
Distribution of the dowels over the joint: 4 pcs. per metre with dowel caps

2. Apply along the joint

Subject: Installation of Rebars in the existing concrete to widen the roadway
For the longitudinal joint, Rebars length 600 mm core diameter 16 mm Tensile
strength: 1000 N/mm2

2.1

Sets of rebars on bio friendly dowel baskets in the existing carriageway.
Sets on plastic dowel baskets in accordance with the supplier’s instructions (specification mail includes delivery).

2.2

Drill in half the length and glue it into the existing carriageway.
Bonding with two-component adhesive in accordance with the supplier’s instructions (specification item includes delivery)

3 Dowels and rebars / tie-bars

The dowels must comply with the provisions of NEN-EN 13877-3, subject to the provisions of the following paragraph.

3.1

All dowels must be made of glass fibre and a high-quality resin along the entire length.

3.2

Rebars must be made of epoxy glass composite GFRP, in the weight ratio of glass fibre and epoxy resin (75: 80) ÷ (20: 25). The whole surface of the bars must be covered with fibreglass ribs impregnated with epoxy resin.
